Our Mission is to create an environment for you to pause, reflect, create, and be renewed with fresh vision for your life and your upcoming season.  We will cultivate your soul with quietness, experiential coaching, journaling prompts, and creativity sessions. You'll spend time in nature and gathered around the table in an intimate setting. Our hope is this culminates in new collaboration, spiritual stirring, awakening, and refreshing.

We believe that rest and play are necessary for personal, spiritual, and professional growth. And, on our retreats, we do that well!

When women take the time to get away, the gifts within begin to come to life and stir in a new way. We are able to find a rhythm in alignment with God’s heartbeat for ourselves, our families, and those we serve.

Our prayer is to help equip you for whatever He has called you to be and do in your next season. We believe that when we take time to pause and become present, we are able to hear the voice of God louder and see our vision much clearer. Join us at the Selah Retreat! It will be an experience that will rejuvenate your soul.

Leah Martorana

Leah Martorana is a visual artist in Rochester, NY. Creating things has always been a part of her life. From an oddly young age she remembers refinishing furniture, joining in on large canvas projects with her artist uncle,  and painting watercolors with her mom. However, she never considered these passions might be things she could do professionally.

After receiving her masters degree from the University of Florida, she met the love of her life, settled down and had three beautiful baby boys. When her youngest was just one year old, she underwent a surgery that required no lifting for months. Since she couldn't pick up anything over five pounds, she picked up something lighter: her paintbrush! In this time she discovered art wasn’t just something she should make time for on occasion, it was an integral part of her life.

After 37 years of calling Tampa, Florida home, in 2020 Leah moved with her family to Rochester, NY. She now lives on a big grassy piece of land where her boys roam wild - fishing, building forts, and making all sorts of art themselves. She spends much of her time gardening and this inspires her work.

Her aim is to find and capture beauty in her everyday surroundings. From abstract portraits to highly textured florals her work is often described as vibrant, whimsical, and cheerful.
